March 8-12, 2010 - ESTECO presents Design Space Exploration for Embedded Parallel System-on-Chip Platforms using modeFRONTIER
This presentation describes the use of modeFRONTIER to optimize the design of a multi-scalar low-power processor, optimization that was performed together between ESTECO and Sara Bocchio from STMicroelectronics, in the context of the MULTICUBE FP7 European Project.
modeFRONTIER has been enriched with a specific integration node to handle the interaction with System-on-Chip (SoC) simulators, plus optimization algorithms specifically designed for the discrete and categorical problems typically faced in the domain of embedded designs.
ESTECO will also be present at the DATE'10 Exhibition in the stand of the MULTICUBE FP7 European Project. The main focus of this project is the definition of an automatic multi-objective Design Space Exploration framework to be used to tune the System-on-Chip architectures for the next generation of embedded multimedia platforms.

July 22, 2009 - Process Integration and Design Optimization
One Day Introductory Training Course
ESTECO is pleased to offer a one day training course on Optimization and Design of Experiment (DOE), based on the state-of-the-art process integration and multi- objective optimization software, modeFRONTIER. The course will start with some industrial examples of process integration and optimization carried out where modeFRONTIER was used with major CAD/CAE tools such as ProE, CATIA, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, CFD codes, GT-Power, etc.
This will be followed by the basics of Process Integration, DOE Techniques, Optimization (both single- and multi- objective), creation and use of Metamodels, Statistical Post- processing, Decision Making, and a brief introduction to Robust Design Optimization, all illustrated by way of simple, hands-on examples.
The course instructors will be Sumeet Parashar, Ph.D. and Chang Qi, Ph.D., of ESTECO NORTH AMERICA.

June 25-29, 2007 - modeFRONTIER at the Particle Accelerator Conference 2007
modeFRONTIER gives contribution to particle accelerators technology and its use will be presented at PAC2007 conference in Albuquerqe (Mexico). A conceptual design study of the mechanical structure for the APPLE II undulators of the FERMI@elettra project has been carried using Ansys and modeFRONTIER optimization software. The undulator performance, taking into account the predicted mechanical deformations due to the varying magnetic forceshave been evaluated and the resulting magnetic field and optical phase error discussed.
