Ansley Barnard is a Systems Optimization Engineer at Ford focusing on parametric and multi-disciplinary optimization. In 2017, she was selected as an analog astronaut for the Hawai’i Space Exploration Analog and Simulation (HI-SEAS). Data from her mission is used by psychologists to advise NASA, The European Space Agency, and others researching psychosocial factors in isolated, confined, and extreme environments. Ansley holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington and has previously worked on advanced composite structures at Boeing and IndyCar aerodynamics at Pratt & Miller Engineering.
