Mr. Anirudha Joshi currently works as a Business Development Manager at ESTECO Software India PVT. LTD. Anirudha has a range of skills that include building new customer relationships, nurturing existing ones, helping enter new industries.

Enrico Nobile, Scientific Advisor, ESTECO

Enrico Nobile, Mechanical Engineer, is Full Professor of Thermodynamics and Thermal-fluids at the University of Trieste. He has a post graduate degree diploma from Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (VKI) in Belgium. He is one of the founders of ESTECO, and he is the author or co-author of more than 80 scientific publications. He was President of NAFEMS Italia and collaborated with many research institutions including New Brunswick University (Canada), Politecnico di Milano and Consorzio Padova Ricerche. He currently works as Scientific Advisor for the company.

Sitarameswara Sarma Akella, Senior General Manager, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.

Dr. Sarma Akella has been with Mahindra & Mahindra since March 2015, currently working as Senior General Manager, Heading ‘Computer Aided Engineering’, ‘Computational Fluid Dynamics’ and ‘Methods’ groups in Product Development for Auto and Farm sectors. Prior to this, he was with Ashok Leyland for 7 years, worked as General Manager – ‘Product Verification (CAE) and Benchmarking’ in Product Development, Technical Center, Chennai. In his earlier career, Dr Akella worked with Eaton India Engineering Center – Pune as Engineering Manager for Modeling and Simulation CoE (Center of Excellence) and also worked with General Electric as Product Specialist in GE Industrial Systems. Completed his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad. Masters in Gas Dynamics from Aerospace Engineering, IIT, Madras and PhD in Mechanical Engineering, IIT, Madras. He did his Post-Doctoral research at Cranfield University, U.K on Aircraft Icing predictions and anti-icing methods.


10.00am - 10.30am Research of Effective Construction of Aluminum Hood for Pedestrian Protection and Low Hood Styling
Osamu Ito, Assistant Chief Engineer, HONDA R&D Co., Ltd., Automobile R&D Center

With more than 10 years’ experience in pedestrian protection and CAE for structural analysis, Osamu Ito has been at Honda R&D Japan since 2006. He received his Master’s degree in Physics at Tokyo University of Science. He started his career as a biomechanics researcher focusing on the injury mechanism of child pedestrian by human FE models. Since 2011, he has been working as a pedestrian protection CAE engineer involving majorly on impactor model development, styling optimization, and plastic parts modeling.

Danilo Di Stefano, Product Manager, ESTECO

Danilo Di Stefano graduated in Physical Chemistry from the University of Padova, and completed a Master's programme in Bioinformatics at the University of Bologna. After three years of experience as a Scientist at the Area Science Park (National Research Institution, Italy) in the design and implementation of data mining software, he joined ESTECO, working as an internal data mining consultant and business development in the pharmaceutical market. Currently appointed as modeFRONTIER product manager.​​

Pratik Ashok Lahane, Business Development Manager, TATA Motors Ltd.

Pratik Ashok Lahane is a Senior Manager who works with Tata Motor’s Engineering Research Centre to innovate mobility solutions through digital product engineering. He is responsible for developing new NVH-CAE capability for digital assessment in early phase of product development and also implementing Multi-disciplinary CAE optimization processes. He has 4 years of CAE experience in NVH refinement of passenger vehicles which includes identifying the root cause and developing the design solutions for vehicle noise and vibration issue. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi.

Neeraj Sahasrabuddhe, Multi Disciplinary Optimization Engineer - Senior, Cummins India Ltd.

Mr. Neeraj Sahasrabuddhe holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Design from College of Engineering, Pune. He started working with Cummins on Structural Optimization, as an intern in 2013 while pursuing his Master’s degree. Since then he has been working Thermo-Mechanical Fatigue related structural analysis and parametric optimization associated with it. For more than a year, he has been a part of a dedicated MDO team within the Broader Analysis Team of Cummins India working full time on Multi-Disciplinary Optimization projects.​​

Anand S. Patil, Associate Vice President, TAFE Motors & Tractors Limited

Mr. Anand S. Patil is a Post graduate Mechanical Engineer specialized in I.C. Engine Powertrains, NVH, Renewable Energy (Specialized in Solar Energy-Both Solar Photo-Voltaic & Solar Thermal); Energy Efficiency; Energy Conservation Studies & Energy Storage Technologies; Heat & Power & Alternate Fuels. He had specialized in Internal Combustion Engines & has been in the Engine & Engine Applications such as Industrial, Off-Highway, Construction, Marine & Generating Set Design, Research, Development & Application field with total Experience of more than 37 years. He had undergone training programs in Leadership, Management, Global Communications, Quality, etc in addition to core technical training programs. At present, he is working as Associate Vice President – Centre of Excellence-Engines, TAFE Motors & Tractors Limited (A Division of TAFE Group), Part of Amalgamation Group from Chennai, India, heading the Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy; Alternate Fuels; Engine Efficiency Improvement & NVH Reduction. Prior to this, he was with M/s Kohler Lombardini Group, heading the Kohler Corporate India Tech Centre in Pune & worked as General Manager-Engineering, Design & Application Engineering, from October, 2008 to October 2013. Prior to this, he had worked in various companies such as Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd.(2005-2008), Greaves Cotton & Company Ltd.(2001-2005), Ruston & Hornsby (I) Ltd (1982-1999) & M/s Mahindra Electro-chemicals in India (1979-1980), as well as M/s Texmaco, Jakarta, Indonesia (1999-2001). He was also a member on the BIS Committee on Internal Combustion Engines & was a member of IDEMA. ​​

Ishwinder Pal Singh Sethi, Senior Manager-NVH, TAFE Motors & Tractors Limited

Ishwinder is Senior Manager- NVH at Tafe Motors & Tractors Ltd. He has 11 years of experience in automotive product development. His professional experience includes refinement in vehicle interior, powertrain and driveline NVH. His major area of interest is improvement in NVH comfort for open station tractors. ​​

Bhushan S. Gandhi, Senior R&D Manager, Bajaj Ltd

Bhushan Gandhi, Senior R&D Manager, is responsible for CAE activities of vehicle side at Bajaj Auto ltd. He holds a Master’s degree in Design Engineering from IIT Bombay, Mumbai and has 18 years of experience in the Design and CAE. He is looking for virtual development in Durability, Dynamics, NVH and DMU domain along with relevant co-relation with test data. His interest lies in pushing the virtual analysis to next level and adapt the new developments in CAE domain for the same. ​​

Milind S. Wagh, Vehicle Dynamics Manager, Bajaj Ltd

Milind Suresh Wagh holds a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from VIT University, Vellore and has over 9 years of experience in the field of Multi Body dynamics, especially in the areas of CAE Vehicle Dynamics. Has presented papers in SAE and other users conferences. ​​

Sumit P. Galpalli , Vehicle Dynamics Assistant Manager, Bajaj Ltd

Sumit Prakash Galpalli holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune and has over 8 years of experience in Multi Body dynamics and FEA. He has worked extensively in the field of Ride/Handling tuning and Vehicle durability analysis through MBD. ​​

Pradeep Jadhav, CAE-MBD Manager, Ashok Leyland

Mr. Pradeep has been working as Manager in the CAE-MBD team, Ashok Leyland Technical Centre, Chennai. He has nearly five years experience in Multibody Dynamics simulations and Master’s Degree in Automotive from College of Engineering Pune in collaboration with ARAI (COEP).​​


4.00pm-4.30pm Parametric Multi-point Optimization of Turbocharger Compressor Stage using Genetic Algorithm 
Dhinagaran R, Head of Tech Center, Turbo Energy

Dr. Dhina has a M.Tech. & Ph.D. in Aerospace and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. During his Ph.D. he worked for Indian Space Research Organization on their Secondary Injection Thrust Vector Control for Rocket Nozzles. Subsequently he worked for various multinational companies such as General Electric, Honeywell and LM Wind Power in the area of mechanical component designs pertaining to Gas Turbine, Turbocharger and Wind Turbine Blades. He later on co-founded an Engineering Consulting Company iCube Technology. Currently he is the Head of Tech Centre, Turbo Energy in Bangalore. He is passionate about innovation and has filed over 15 patent applications. He is an expert in the area of Turbomachinery with over 20 publications to his credit. He is a certified Lean Expert and offers courses on Lean Six Sigma.​​

Chetan Borole, Senior CAE Engineer , Whirlpool of India

Mr. Chetan Borole holds a Master’s degree in Fluid and Thermal Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He started working with Whirlpool of India as Senior CAE Engineer in 2016. He is working on 1D mathematical Energy and Dry model development for Dishwasher. He is responsible for carrying out trade off analysis for energy class rating and Design space exploration, Response surface modelling and optimization for performance enhancement as well as robustness assessment of Dishwashers.​​
