Computational Performance‐based Generative Design Approach- Multi‐objective Architectural Form Optimization
Generative performative design is a paradigm that combines on a certain level the two mentioned approaches: form generation and performance-based design. It includes form generation process, performance models, simulation techniques and optimization algorithms all together. The computer is used to automatically generate, simulate, evaluate and present the architect with the optimal or acceptable solutions for the problem under study.
In this presentation, the following process is presented: after the selection of Variables-Generative Design, the
Performance-Based Simulation is run; the generated shapes go under evaluation and optimization by means of modeFRONTIER and after the monitoring of results the final selection is made.
