​CHALLENGE - Develop a versatile, innovative methodology for designing virtual HE models that targets performance, materials, weight, size and manufacturability as an alternative to conventional approaches requiring prototyping and physical testing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SOLUTION -  Starting from the design and virtual testing of different HE core elements, modeFRONTIER automated the optimization procedure and piloted the CFD and thermal simulations until the optimal HE configuration was identified.

BENEFITS - modeFRONTIER reduced the computational cost of the simulations by removing the need for repetitive testing and broadened the spectrum of design alternatives which would not have otherwise been considered by traditional methodology.
