ESTECO UM21 North America - More speakers announced

26 October 2021

More speakers from big companies like Ford and Cummins are joining the ESTECO Users’ Meeting North America 2021.

Kevin Howard, Aero Technical Expert and CFD Supervisor at Ford Motor Company, will hold a speech titled “Balancing aero and aero-acoustic attributes for optimization of a side mirror”, taking us through an interesting design trade-off for a small but important piece of our automobiles: the side mirror. This study dives into a multiobjective shape optimization of the side mirror helping achieve aero and aero-acoustic performance targets.

Jeremy Lackey, Structural Engineer – Technical Specialist Power Systems Engineering at Cummins, is going to talk about “MDO approach to diesel engine exhaust manifold development”, highlighting the value of optimization techniques in early stage design to avoid impact of design changes due to real world constraints later in the process. The case study dives into the optimization of an Exhaust Manifold which helped engineers to identify a possible design risk at the bolted flange using the statistical decision making techniques in modeFRONTIER.

ESTECO experts will present the latest features and advancements in our products: Danilo Di Stefano, modeFRONTIER Product Manager, Marco Turchetto, VOLTA Product Manager, and Alessandro Turco, Cardanit Product Manager.
