We are pleased to announce the full agenda of the inaugural ESTECO Technology Day, to be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library outside Los Angeles on 21st March, 2017. Along with three high-profile keynote speakers from the aerospace and the automotive field, the event line-up will include presentations from ESTECO experts, offering a comprehensive insight into the state-of-the-art capabilities and future developments of our technology.
Early stage researchers with a Master's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics can apply for the scholarship opportunity at the ESTECO HQs in Trieste. The opportunity will be provided in the framework of the UTOPIAE training and research network, funded by the European Commission through the H2020 funding stream, in which ESTECO is a project partner.
As a technical partner of Land Rover BAR, we are excited to see the team setting sail in Bermuda on board of the high-tech racing catamaran with which Sir Ben Ainslie and his crew hope to win the 35th America’s Cup. This ambition took solid form this week with the launch and christening of their America’s Cup Class race boat, Rita – the name carried by all 19 of Ben’s previous Olympic and world championship winning boats.
ESTECO announces the release of VOLTA - the state-of-the art environment that takes enterprise-spread engineering processes to a new, collaborative dimension. Protecting the company Intellectual Property while accelerating innovation processes will require no efforts with VOLTA.
ESTECO is proud to sponsor the 2016/2017 edition of the Student Design/Build/Fly (DBF) Competition, organized by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). The contest provides a real-world aircraft design experience for engineering students by giving them the opportunity to validate their analytic studies. We will provide AIAA DBF teams with a free ESTECO Academy membership, including the use of modeFRONTIER multidisciplinary optimization platform and access to our online training materials.
ESTECO is proud to participate in numerous European, Regional and Interregional research projects where the exchange of ideas helps identify and develop new fields of application for our optimization technology. In 2016 three European projects were funded: UTOPIAE, Double Face 2.0, ESA ITI (funded by European Space Agency). In 2017 ESTECO is taking part in COMPOSELECTOR project funded by the European Union through the EU Horizon 2020 programme.
The ESTECO multi-objective optimization platform, modeFRONTIER, was prestented at the 6th edition of the International Conference on Laser Peening and Related Phenomena, which took place in Gauteng Province, South Africa from 06 - 11 November 2016. The event was hosted by the University of the Witwatersrand in collaboration with the The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) National Laser Centre.
